A very good article on the effect of minimum wage increase. What is missing in the article however is a factor for those employees who were making more than the min wage under the old wage, but now are making min wage with the new increase. I mention this as employers have to figure out if an employee who was making more than minimum wage prior to this wage increase, but now is making minimum wage, do they give this employee an increase? Very difficult decision as if the employer decides not to provide the wage,the employee may have hard feelings as their wage would now be same as someone just starting with no experience with the company!
